When you hear the word ‘Goo’, what comes to mind?
sticky

eww ← this even rhymes ✔️
Yup! That’s about right.
It’s the perfect term to say something is bad without saying it’s bad.
In high school, I learned that this is onomatopoeia.
Goo sounds like what it is.
But what does it really mean?
My family uses the term Goo to include anything that is yucky or bad for you. “Eww”.
If it doesn’t grow in nature… it’s Goo.
If it didn’t come from a farm… it’s Goo.
If you can’t pronounce the ingredient… it’s Goo.
If you can’t make it or grow it at home… it’s Goo.
If it requires excessive processing to make ‘edible’… it’s Goo.
If it comes in a box with ingredients you can’t identify… it’s Goo.
If someone who lived 200 years ago would not recognize it as ‘food’… it’s Goo.
