Hello, My Goo-Free Friends!
I am sending out this newsletter to let you know about a nationwide recall on select lots of Tony’s Chocolonely chocolate bars due to “small stones” from a third party almond processor being found in their chocolate bar products.
Tony’s Chocolonely is a very popular brand of Goo-Free chocolate that many of you enjoy on a regular basis.
See below for more details!
From the website:
“Tony’s Chocolonely US and Canada is voluntarily recalling limited lots of 2 specific chocolate products distributed nationwide. The 2 products affected are the Dark Almond Sea Salt (6.35 oz); and Everything Bar (milk chocolate with caramel, pretzel, almond nougat and sea salt) (6.35 oz) with specific lot codes detailed below. No other Tony’s products are affected.
A limited number of consumers have reported finding small stones in the product not filtered during third-party almond harvesting and the almond processing process. Whilst the chance of any individual product being affected is low, and we have not yet received any complaints in North America, we have decided to take this step in order to ensure the safety and satisfaction of Tony’s Chocolonely consumers in an abundance of caution.
The affected products were distributed beginning in February 2025 and have the following SKU and lot codes:
US:
Dark Almond Sea Salt 6.35 oz – lot numbers 163094, 162634, M162634
Everything bar (milk chocolate with caramel, pretzel, almond nougat and sea salt) 6.35 oz – lot numbers 4327, 4330, 4331, M4331.
CA:
Dark Almond Sea Salt 180g – lot number 162697
Everything bar 180g – lot number 4332.
